Dear Pupils and Parents,
I have some very important messages for all of you regarding the H1N1 Flu and the first day of school 29 June 2009.
1. If you have travelled to one or more of the following countries and arrived in Singapore on or after 22 June 2009, you are NOT allowed to come to school and must stay at home for SEVEN days after the date of your arrival. The school would have sent you the Leave of Absence (LOA) letter by now or latest, by tomorrow.
The countries are USA, Mexico, Canada, Chile, United Kingdom, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Thailand, Spain, Philippines, Hong Kong, Panama, Dominican Republic and Indonesia (that includes neighbouring islands like Batam, Tanjung Pinang and Bintan).
2. Next, if you have not travelled and you are coming to school on Monday, you MUST go to the school website, under Parent’s Portal and download and print out the Travel Declaration Form again. You must fill in the form WITH your parent’s signature and bring it to school on Monday, 29 June 2009. EVERYONE COMING TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY HAS TO DO THIS. THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT. If you do not have a printer at home, it would be good if you could somehow ask a friend or relative to help you print out this document. PLEASE DO THIS GIRLS. I know that you have already filled in a form before the school holidays but you must now fill in the form AGAIN. This is because some of you may have made last minute plans with your family and travelled out of the country. The school needs an update of EVERYONE’S travel plans during the June Holidays. The link to the school’s website is here. Please click on the “Travel Declaration Form” on the right to download the form.

*4. When you arrive in school on Monday, PLEASE DO NOT enter the classroom without my permission. YOU CANNOT ENTER the classroom if I am not there yet. PLEASE WAIT OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM FOR MY ARRIVAL. This is also very very important. You are also not supposed to hang around at the canteen, courtyard or hall. Go straight up to the 6th floor. I should be there by 645 am. I repeat : If I am not in the classroom, please wait OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM for me.
5. Lastly, whether you have travelled or not, and if you are feeling unwell, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY. Be socially responsible and stay at home to rest. Use a face mask and prevent spreading your illness.
